“The residents of Columbia County and all those using the Hudson train station have waited too long for the convenience of ride-sharing. On June 29th, ride-sharing will at last be available to Columbia County visitors and residents. While these new services will not solve all the transportation issues we face in the county-- including how difficult it is for people with disabilities to find safe, reliable transportation-- it is a strong new option for everyone wanting to give it a try. I was happy to support the upstate expansion of ride-sharing in the budget, and its expedited availability in advance of the holiday weekend. It should make our roads safer and be a boon for the local economy.”
