Ashby Says Lt. Gov. Benjamin’s Actions Blur the Lines of Ethical Conduct

Statement from Assemblyman Jake Ashby (R,C,I-Castleton)

“We are not even a full year into this new gubernatorial administration and yet there is another report of how a high-ranking official has let down New York taxpayers. It is disappointing that Lt. Gov. Benjamin couldn’t discern it was not appropriate to personally collect on a taxpayer-funded reimbursement when he clearly paid for his trip to Albany with campaign funds. The highest offices in New York need to set an example, and we’re just seeing a repeat of the blurring of lines on ethical conduct. New Yorkers deserve more.”
