Calls For Increased Awareness On Legislative Disabilities Awareness Day Ashby

A statement from Assemblyman Jake Ashby (R,C,I,Ref.- Castleton) on Legislative Disabilities Awareness Day at the New York state Capitol

Assemblyman Jake Ashby greeting people at the annual Legislative Disabilities Awareness Day in Albany on Wednesday, May 30, 2018.

“Today was a phenomenal experience for legislators on both sides of the aisle to gain a better understanding of the many issues and hardships facing the disability community in New York State and the people who dedicate their lives to providing care for these special individuals. Our duty as elected officials is to focus on how we can provide the best possible experience for all New Yorkers. I am honored to be part of such a special event and to meet so many talented individuals who display courage and bravery on a daily basis. I intend to be a pillar for the disability community and I am proud of the package of bills proposed by the New York State Assembly to benefit the disabled people living and working in our state.”
