Ashby Sworn In As Assemblyman for 107th District

Assemblyman Jake Ashby (R,C,I,Ref.-Castleton) formally took the office on Monday June 11th in Albany in front of his family, friends, colleagues and Assembly staff. Ashby followed his swearing in with a few additional comments where he thanked his support system and promised to be the most dedicated representative possible.

“I am honored to be able to serve my constituents. As a veteran, I know firsthand the issues affecting our service members upon returning home, and I will work with my colleagues to address the ways we can provide the best resources for these men and women. The people of New York need legislators they can trust, and I intend to work to restore that trust in our state government,” said Ashby.

In total, four Minority Assemblymen were sworn in, “I am honored to welcome our newest Members to the Assembly Minority Conference,” said Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C,I,-Canandaigua). “I have no doubt each of these individuals will bring an incredible work ethic on behalf of the people who elected them. Their passion, integrity, hard work and commitment to their constituents will help to make New York a better place to live, work and raise a family.”

The legislative session is scheduled to end on June 20 and Ashby is hosting mobile office hours throughout the summer to hear the concerns of his constituents. If you are interested in attending, please contact Ashby at
