Ashby Appointed Ranking Assembly Minority on Assembly Committee on Aging
Assemblyman Jake Ashby (R,C,I,Ref-Castleton) was appointed by Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C-Canandaigua) to be the Ranking Assembly Minority Member on the Assembly Committee on Aging. In this role, Ashby will be able to address some of the most pressing matters facing seniors in New York.
I am honored to take on the role of Ranking Minority on the Assembly Committee on Aging so I can work closely on the matters facing seniors in New York, said Ashby. One of the most pressing items for seniors in our state is the growing need for support services while maintaining independence. Other important issues include long-term care and health care and insurance matters. I am eager to apply my background as a clinician to develop solutions that work for New Yorks seniors.
Additionally, Ashby was appointed to the Committees on Veterans Affairs, Higher Education, Health and Tourism, Parks, Arts and Sports Development. Ashby will look for opportunities to improve services while reducing costs to the taxpayer in these and all areas of government.
