“New York’s college students are strapped with $39,400 worth of college debt. We should be doing our best to help them first before any tax dollars are used to pay for the higher education of those who entered our country without documentation. A private fund would be the best way to support ‘Dreamers’ if individuals feel passionately about aiding their education. It’s my job to protect the interests of citizens in my district, and I remain focused on easing the burden of their college debt.”
