“It is ridiculous we are passing yet another budget extender here in Albany. Every day the final budget is late, school districts, local governments and taxpayers of our state are directly impacted. It is irresponsible for the state to prolong budget negotiations as in turn it completely disrupts school districts and municipalities’ budget deadlines and their ability to plan for the fiscal year. Time will tell how many more budget extenders there will be until this year’s state budget is finalized and passed.”
