Gallahan Accepting Animal Blankets for Local Animal Shelter Drive

Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan (R,C-Manchester) is accepting and collecting new or gently used blankets to shelter animals at a drive he is facilitating in order to ensure they are kept warm through the winter months.

Blankets help keep animals off of cold surfaces, while providing comfort to their joints. This improves their health and happiness to help make them more appealing to potential adopters. Providing gently used blankets gives them a new life to reduce waste while helping animals in need.

“Just one blanket can make a major difference in an animal’s wellness during these cold winter months,” said Gallahan. “I encourage all who are able to give what they can to support our shelters and shelter animals.”

Blankets will be collected from Nov. 17 until Dec. 17 at the following locations:
