Lemondes on Final Budget Vote

“Majority lawmakers in New York have once again led the charge on the budget. While it resulted in some positive changes for bail reform and continued funding for our critical agricultural industry, it also gave us a spending ceiling that is unsustainable and fiscally irresponsible. The debt that our state continues to amass as a result of sky-high spending budgets will put our children in the uncomfortable position of paying it off well into their adulthood. It’s mismanagement in the highest order, and it’s unfortunate that my colleagues across the aisle don’t see it that way.”
