Lemondes Champions Library Aid for Onondaga, Cayuga Counties

Assemblyman John Lemondes (R,C-LaFayette) has successfully fought for bullet aid funding for several libraries in Onondaga and Cayuga counties, including Baldwinsville Public Library, Elbridge Free Library and Port Byron Library. Bullet aid is targeted state funding that helps support public schools and libraries. Because of this funding, these libraries will be able to supply new resources for the community. Baldwinsville, in particular, will be using the funds to install electric charging stations for patrons. Lemondes is proud to have fought for this funding and will continue to work in the state Assembly to make sure local libraries have the funding they need.

“Public libraries are a vital part of a vibrant community, and this funding will help give them the tools and resources they need to thrive,” said Lemondes. “When libraries are fully funded, they’re able to properly address the needs of residents. This aid is already at work helping to pave the way for more accessibility to green energy alternatives through the installation of electric charging stations at Baldwinsville Public Library. This funding will go a long way in uplifting the community and supporting students as they continue to read and learn.”
