Lemondes Joins Civil Air Patrol

Assemblyman John Lemondes (R,C,I-Lafayette) is proud to announce that as of this morning, he has officially joined the Civil Air Patrol (CAP). CAP is the premiere congressionally chartered, and federally supported non-profit corporation that serves as the official civilian auxiliary of the United States Air Force. CAP is a volunteer organization with an aviation-minded membership that includes people from all backgrounds, lifestyles, and occupations. CAP members provide emergency support for state and local agencies, such as search and rescue and disaster relief.

“It’s true what they say about retirement from the military: you never lose the attitude of a soldier,” Lemondes said. “It’s what initially drew me to CAP. I enjoy serving my community and helping my neighbors, and with my previous experience of military service this seemed like a perfect fit for me. I look forward to participating in the prestigious organization with my fellow volunteers for years to come.”
