Giglio Participates In Press Conference to Repeal Bail Reform

Assemblyman Joseph M. Giglio (R,C,I-Gowanda) participated in a press conference this morning with Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay (R,C,I,Ref-Pulaski) and the Assembly Minority Conference to call for the full repeal of the bail reform measures from last year. Following an extensive study on bail reform measures and interviews with victims, the Assembly Minority Conference made the recommendation to repeal the legislation passed as part of last year’s budget.

Giglio stands with his colleagues to oppose the bail reforms that have recently taken effect by co-sponsoring legislation (A.8855) to protect all New Yorkers.

“Protecting the citizens of New York State is of utmost importance,” Giglio said. “Recent tragedies which have occurred in our communities make clear the need to repeal these changes.”
