Brown Hosts Successful Beach Clean-Up at Centreport Beach

Assemblyman Keith P. Brown (R,C-Northport) hosted a successful beach clean-up event in Centerport on Saturday, June 18, at Centerport Beach. Brown was joined by Town of Huntington Supervisor Edmund J. Smyth, Town of Huntington Deputy Parks Commissioner Walter Edwards and Boy Scout Troop 403. As the summer weather starts, ensuring our beaches are clean helps maintain our ocean and its ecosystem health.

“I want to thank everyone for coming out and participating in our beach clean-up. Here on Long Island, we are responsible for maintaining our environment for the many generations that will come after us. Today was a great way to lead by example,” said Brown.

“Many hands make light work,” said Supervisor Smyth. “It’s great to participate in a beach clean-up.I hope everyone will get in the habit of picking up six pieces of litter each day, wherever they see it.”
