“Gov. Hochul’s misguided plan is too heavy-handed for local governments and will be too costly for suburban communities—the cost of maintaining these multi-story high rises will weigh heavily on taxpayers and will forever change traditionally-suburban communities. The environmental impacts of this plan could be even more disastrous. Water sources, infrastructure, sewer and waste systems, local roads and bridges and more could easily be overwhelmed and neglected as a result of this rushed urban expansion.”
