“It is terrible to see the families of the 134 hostages being held in Gaza continue to suffer. The hostages have been held for 179 days now, and of the 134 hostages, two of them are New Yorkers—Omer Neutra and Edan Alexander. Until we see their immediate release and safe return home, I am proud to stand in solidarity alongside my colleagues and fellow New Yorkers to support this humanitarian effort. There is no moral basis and it is a violation of international law. Together, we can send a very clear and strong message to the terrorist group Hamas: we will not rest until the 134 hostages are freed and returned home to their families. Bring them home now!”
