“It’s outrageous that funding for our veterans was even cut in the first place. Our brave men and women have sacrificed so much to serve and protect our freedoms. They have spent months away from their loved ones and put themselves in harm’s way to ensure that everyone at home feels safe. As someone who was deployed to Vietnam, I know serving our country isn’t always an easy task, but it’s one we so greatly honor.

“The very least we can do to show our appreciation to our veterans is to ensure they are taken care of once they return home. It’s about time the governor and the Majority stops using our veterans as toys in a political game and restore funding now.”
