Assemblyman Zebrowski Sponsoring Food Drive to Help Those in Need

Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski will be hosting a food drive in his district office from October 24th until November 18th to assist local food pantries during the holiday season. The food will be donated up to the week

of Thanksgiving to Catholic Charities in Haverstraw and People to People in Nanuet.

“This food drive is a great opportunity to give back to those in need especially in these difficult economic times.

Many of the local food pantries are experiencing a higher need as their resources are depleted,” said

Assemblyman Zebrowski.

Any donation is greatly appreciated but there are specifics items that the food pantries are in high need of, including:

  • Cereal and oatmeal
  • Canned goods
  • Pasta
  • Rice
  • Canned juice and juice boxes
  • Flour, rice and sugar
  • Pasta sauce
  • Snacks (applesauce, peaches, crackers, etc)
  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Powdered milk
  • Toiletries
  • Boxed stuffing
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Cooking oil (plastic bottles)
  • Supermarket gift cards

“It is important that we come together as Rocklanders to help those who are less fortunate. I am hopeful this drive will re-stock pantry shelves and provide residents with a Happy Thanksgiving,” concluded Zebrowski.

Donations may be dropped off at Assemblyman Zebrowski’s district office, 67 N. Main Street, New City Monday through Friday between 9AM and 5PM.
