Assemblyman Kevin Byrne (R,C,I,SAM,ROS-Mahopac) is pleased to announce that over 600 test kits and over 300 face masks were provided to residents of Putnam County during a drive-thru event, in partnership with the Our Lady of the Lakes Council #6318 Knights of Columbus. On Sunday, Jan. 16, Byrne’s office provided 400 test kits and 300 masks, while Putnam County contributed approximately 200 kits they received from the state, allowing for expanded eligibility to all Putnam County residents.
“I’d like to thank all the volunteers who helped make this event possible, especially given the freezing cold weather this past weekend,” said Byrne. “I am glad we were able to provide these kits and masks to members of our community who needed them and helped offer them some protection and peace of mind. It’s always good when we can work together with our partners in county government and amazing organizations like the Carmel Knights.”
The tests and masks distributed by Byrne’s office were acquired through the New York State Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Services. Byrne and his office plan to distribute more masks and kits to other locations within the 94th Assembly District as they become available.
