Lalor Appointed To Small Business Committee

Albany, NY– Assemblyman Kieran Michael Lalor (R,C,I-Fishkill) announced today that he has been appointed to the Small Business Committee by Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb. Lalor expressed excitement to expand his fight for the small businessmen and women of Dutchess County.

“It’s no secret that New York has one of the least friendly environments for small businesses,” said Lalor. “But small businesses are the heart and soul of our communities. I promise to work hard on the Small Business Committee to give taxpayers much-needed relief from what has become a seemingly impossible place to start a business. The opportunity to serve on this committee gives me exactly the tools I need to keep the fight alive. I promise to fight for the free market that this country was built on, not Gov. Cuomo’s cronyism that hand picks winners and losers.”

“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Assemblyman Kieran Michael Lalor to the Assembly Committee on Small Business. In his time serving as the people’s representative in the 105th Assembly District, Kieran has distinguished himself as a champion of job growth, fiscal discipline and tax relief in New York State,” Leader Kolb said. “I look forward to working with Kieran to support local enterprises, lower the tax burden on businesses and focus our energy on creating jobs, not eliminating them.”

Lalor, along with serving on the committees for Education, Governmental Operations, Veterans' Affairs, and Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, is the ranking minority member on the Real Property Taxation Committee.
