Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean-Pierre: Beginning a New Legislative Session Brings New Opportunities to Collaborate
“As the 2023 state legislative session begins, I’m excited to continue working with my colleagues in the Assembly to find solid solutions to the issues on all of our minds and advocate for all New Yorkers to have the resources they need to flourish.
“While our goals for this year are ambitious, I have full faith that we can achieve them. For my part, I’ll fight to support our working families by advocating for additional funding for childcare, mental health services and work to increase access to housing for homeowners and renters. I’ll also fight for new measures that support law enforcement and keep our community safe. And, as the new Chair of the Assembly Veterans’ Affairs Committee, I’ll work to provide our brave veterans with the resources and support they need as they return home from their service.
“Working side by side with the governor and my colleagues in the Senate, I’ll do everything in my power to bring home real results for Long Island. I look forward to helping our communities not only get by but thrive even in the most challenging times.”
