Assemblywoman Buttenschon Hosts Five Town Halls Across the Mohawk Valley
Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon (D-Utica/Rome) hosted five town halls across the Mohawk Valley in June to provide a legislative update and hear directly from residents about their concerns.
“Following a busy and successful state legislative session, I hosted a series of town halls to meet with local families and talk about community concerns,” said Buttenschon. “We’re living in challenging times, but Mohawk Valley communities have come together to help each other persevere and thrive. These town halls provided crucial feedback about what local families want and need as we move forward together. I thank everyone who came out to share their concerns, and I’ll continue meeting with residents to ensure their voices are heard in Albany.”
Buttenschon received great turnout at her town halls held in Whitesboro, Rome, Utica, Deerfield and Oriskany this month. The events covered an array of topics. Buttenschon hopes to introduce and vote on legislation to address some of these issues during next year’s legislative session.
