Assemblywoman Buttenschon will be Holding “Don’t Get Ticked NY” Event on Friday, June 21st

Today, Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon (D-C Marcy) announced that on Friday, June 21st, she will hold a "Don't Get Ticked NY" event with guest speakers to teach the public about Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses, as well as how to properly remove a tick and protect against a bite.

“As we head outdoors to enjoy the summer weather, it is vital to protect ourselves from Lyme and tick-borne diseases, which can have damaging health effects. It is also important to know how to prevent a tick bite, how to remove a tick, and what to do if you contract a tick-borne disease,” said Assemblywoman Buttenschon. “That is why on Friday, June 21st, I will be holding a "Don't Get Ticked NY" event featuring two guest speakers, Dr. Saravanan Thangamani and Holly Wise, to teach us how to stay safe this summer."

The event will be held on Friday, June 21st, from 1 PM to 2:30 PM at the Utica State Office Building, First Floor Conference Room A & B on 207 Genesee Street.
