Assemblywoman Buttenschon Seeks Nominations for her 2020 Teaching Recognition Awards

Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon (D-Utica/Rome) announced that she is seeking nominations of teachers and principals in the 119th Assembly District for her 2020 Teaching Recognition Awards.

“When an educator is passionate and committed to teaching, students reap the benefits,” said Buttenschon. “These awards aim to celebrate and recognize the contributions of Mohawk Valley’s finest teachers and principals. These individuals are the unsung heroes of our communities whose commitment to their craft has improved the quality of education and enriched the lives of countless students.”

Buttenschon is seeking nominations from Mohawk Valley residents of an educator who has made an immense difference in their students’ lives. All entries must include the nominee’s name, the school and a brief sentence explaining why they’re being nominated. Those who are interested in nominating an educator in the 119th Assembly District must send their submissions to buttenschonm@nyassembly.gov by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28.
