Tedisco & Simpson Announce New Bill For “I Love NY Parks Summer Discount”
Assemblyman Matt Simpson (R,C,I-Horicon) today joined Sen. Jim Tedisco (R,C-Glenville) to announce new legislation they are sponsoring the “I Love NY Parks Summer Discount” bill (A.10030), to provide New Yorkers with a 50 percent discount on admission fees for the 2022 season at all state parks, historic sites and recreational facilities. In addition, on Saturday, May 7, New York state will celebrate its 11th annual “I Love My Park Day.”
“The need for New Yorkers to explore all the state has to offer at a decent price is especially high this year, given the rising inflation we are experiencing and as we transition to warmer days ahead. This bill will give New Yorkers an opportunity to learn the history of the state, spend time outside, and all at a discounted cost for entire families to enjoy. Our state parks are filled with endless natural beauty that should not be overlooked. I am proud to call the Adirondack State Park my home. Now is the time to get outside and explore our beautiful state,” said Simpson.
