Durso Hosts Successful Coat Drive

Assemblyman Michael Durso (R-Massapequa Park) is pleased to announce over 150 donations were made at his coat and blanket drive in support of Bethel Christian Center and Veterans for a More Responsive Government on Saturday, January 16, 2021.

“Now more than ever, especially during this pandemic, it is so essential to support members of our community in need,” said Durso. “With over 1,000 coats donated, I am proud of our community coming together to help those in need. As the cold weather hits, hundreds of veterans and families will be able to button up and stay warm. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our coat and blanket drive.”

These gently used men’s, women’s and children’s winter coats and blankets will be donated to local families and veterans impacted by COVID-19 and other hardships. This contactless event drew in over 1,000 coats. All donations will be given to Bethel Christian Center and Veterans for a More Responsive Government.
