Assemblyman Mike Norris (R,C-Lockport) announced the state Assembly passed the two critical bills reforming social media practices for children, particularly as related to addictive social media platform regulation (A.8148-A) and protecting the privacy and data of minors (A.8149-A).

“A top priority of our government is to protect our children. The algorithms, addictive feeds and collection of data targeting our children are serious concerns and adversely impacting the daily lives of our kids. I am proud to have worked in a bipartisan manner to ensure social media companies are held accountable in order to implement online safety practices which will protect our children in this ever-changing technological world.”
