Assemblyman Michael J. Norris Announces First Personal Care Drive
An Announcement from Assemblyman Michael J. Norris (R,C – Lockport)
While Western New Yorkers prepare for a reprieve from the cold weather and enjoy the spring season, many local shelters and food pantries’ shelves run bare after the winter holiday drives. Everyday personal care items are usually the first to disappear and often the most sought after. New York State Assemblyman Mike Norris is proud to announce that this week kicks off his first annual “Personal Care Drive,” which aims to help replenish the shelves of local shelters so our neighbors in need have access to everyday items that are basic necessities. Assemblyman Norris will be accepting personal care items such as deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo and bars of soap at his office and locations throughout his Assembly District. The drive begins on Tuesday March 27 to Wednesday, May 2, 2018. “Following our Winter Coat and Clothing Drive, it was brought to my attention that personal care products are some of the most important, but also most scarce items on shelter and pantry shelves during the spring. I am proud to sponsor this personal care item drive to help individuals and families that may be in need in our community,” said Assemblyman Norris. All of the items collected will stay in the community and will be donated to local charities and organizations that assist local Western New York families. If you are interested in donating and personal care items, please feel free to stop by Assemblyman Mike Norris’ District Office, located at 8180 Main Street Clarence, NY 14221, during normal office hours between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday thru Friday, or contact him at (716) 839-4690 for other drop-off locations.
