Since taking office, one of my top priorities has been working with our local emergency responders, government officials, and the businesses and property owners impacted by Lake Ontario’s devastating flooding and tonight, as we continue finalizing the state budget, I am very pleased to inform them that our efforts have resulted in an additional $40 million being made available for lakeshore flood relief. Additionally, this legislation increased library aid, restored funding for our local roads, and increased foundation aid for schools. Western New York deserves our fair share of funding, and please know I am working to deliver for our community.
