Norris Partners With State Police to Host Car Seat Safety Check for Families
Notice Of Public Event
Assemblyman Mike Norris (R,C-Lockport) is partnering with the New York State Police Troop A to host a free Car Seat Safety Check event for the public on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the State Police Barracks in Lockport located at 6566 Dysinger Road. Appointments are strongly encouraged.
“Every day millions of parents and grandparents secure their children or grandchildren in car seats, but nearly half of them are installed improperly. That’s why safety check events like these are so important, and lifesaving,” said Norris. “I strongly encourage anyone with a car seat in their car to make an appointment for this free event. It only takes a few moments to have your car seat’s safety verified, and the peace of mind of knowing your child is safely secured while in the car will be priceless.”
Certified Passenger Safety Technicians will install, inspect and/or check child car seats at the event. For more information, or to schedule an appointment, please email the State Police at atraffic@troopers.ny.gov or call (585) 344-6228.
