Assemblyman Michael A. Montesano (R,I,C-Glen Head) recently met with a group heavily involved with local girl scouts. Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts Nassau County Donna Ceravolo and volunteer Shelia Bohan have committed themselves to helping sculpt future generations of women through their work with the Girl Scouts. Samantha and Kavita are part of the 2.3 million young women across the nation that are members of the Girl Scouts and have pledged themselves to an experience that will shape their character.
It was a real pleasure to meet with the group, said Montesano. As they each participate in different ways, they all share a common dedication to an organization that works to empower young women to be strong and confident leaders. The work of the staff, volunteers and members of the Girl Scouts Association is priceless. I wish there were more similar organizations and people willing to help develop our youth.
