Assemblyman Michael A. Montesano (R,I,C-Glen Head) recently attended the Westbury Troop 233 Eagle Scout Award Ceremony for Joey Marcus. Joey has spent over 2,000 hours with his Boy Scouts troop collecting food, working with the homeless, and placing flags on the graves of veterans. All of this work culminated in his Eagle Scout project, in which he worked to beautify the “Welcome to Hicksville” sign at Old Country Road and Levittown Parkway.

“It takes a tremendous amount of work and dedication to achieve the high honor of Eagle Scout,” said Montesano. “Joseph exemplifies the quality of students and youth who are coming out of our community. I am honored to be part of the recognition of Joseph’s work and look forward to his bright future.”
