Tannousis: New York Has No Place For A District Attorney Who Refuses To Enforce The Law

A statement from Assemblyman Michael Tannousis (R,C-Staten Island, Brooklyn)

“Today, my colleagues on the Assembly Judiciary Committee and I sent a letter to Gov. Hochul urging her to remove Alvin Bragg from the public office of district attorney in the county of New York, effective immediately.

“Since taking office, Mr. Bragg has shown through his actions that he has no intention of performing his duties as a district attorney. His decision to ignore the bail laws of this state and his outright refusal to prosecute numerous other crimes clearly demonstrates a dereliction of his duties. He is unfit for the office he holds. Gov. Hochul has the authority to remove him from office and should do so immediately.”
