“The court’s decision today gave the people of Staten Island the sense of relief and security they deserve. The people of Arrochar, as well as the rest of Staten Island, deserve transparency from City Hall. The manner in which this migrant shelter was placed in this neighborhood was a disgrace and a slap in the face to our community. I am grateful that Judge Ozzi listened to the community’s concerns and made the right decision after properly applying the law. The fight does not stop here but this is one step in the right direction for Staten Island and the rest of New York.”
