Pheffer Amato and Local Rescues Host Perrr-fect Cat Rescue Event

South Queens, NY - New York State Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-South Queens) was excited to host dozens of constituents at her district office over the weekend for a cat adoption event. Pheffer Amato, an outspoken advocate for animals, partnered with two local rescues, Noah’s Ark Animal Rescue and Catfixerny, which featured 11 adult cats and 2 kittens. Throughout the day, residents came in to visit and play with the cats - which resulted in several people filling out adoption applications or inquiring about ways to volunteer with the local 501(c)(3)’s.

“Our animals are our family,” said the Assemblywoman who was wearing a t-shirt featuring her own rescue cat, Sugar. “It’s wonderful to see individuals, couples or families take an interest in welcoming a rescue cat into their lives. I believe some of these adorable cats found their furrr-ever homes, and this is truly a perrr-fect way to start the holiday season.”
