West Genesee Academic Team Honored with Assembly Resolution

The West Genesee High School Academic Decathlon Team recently traveled to Albany. They were recognized on the Assembly floor with a Resolution. Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I—Pulaski) greeted the West Genesee High School Academic Decathlon Team in Albany yesterday. The team recently placed 23rd in Nationals in Charlotte, N.C., and took first place at the New York State Academic Decathlon Championships. Barclay honored the team’s achievements with an Assembly Resolution and introduced the group on the Assembly floor yesterday. The Assembly paused to congratulate the group for its many achievements.

“This team’s roster of achievements is impressive. This group and their advisor have worked so hard to prepare for and make their way to these challenging academic competitions and have demonstrated their talents and capabilities. They’ve represented their school and their communities well, and I wish them all the best in their future endeavors,” said Barclay.
