Sportsmen Gather At Annual Dinner

Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I—Pulaski) recently attended the Oswego County Sportsmen’s annual dinner at the Scriba Town Fire Hall. The group discussed sportsmen issues and protecting 2nd Amendment rights. Barclay is pictured speaking with Ron Jardin. Barclay recently helped prevent a mandate on gun manufacturers from passing in Albany in March. Micro-stamping would require gun manufacturers to produce a unique alpha-numeric or geometric code on the firing pin identifying the make, model and serial number of the pistol. The technology, however, is not proven. Barclay believes if Albany passes anti-gun legislation, it should focus on possession of illegal firearms and the criminals who use them.
