Barclay Applauds NY Labor Department On Decision To Put Off Call-In Scheduling Rules

A statement from Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I,Ref-Pulaski) in reaction to the Department of Labor’s announcement that it will no longer pursue a rule-making process for call-in scheduling on Thursday, Feb. 28.

“The decision by the New York State Department of Labor today is a win for small businesses statewide. Without needless call-in scheduling regulations, businesses won’t be burdened by costly new mandates. In recent years, thousands of residents have left New York and if we continue over-regulating small businesses, this trend will likely continue. I’m relieved the Labor Department made this decision but we have a long way to go to make this a more business-friendly state.”
