While others talk about reform, Amy Paulin is fighting every
day to reform our dysfunctional state government.
Amy voted against the Assembly’s budget resolution, which proposed $2 billion in borrowing
to balance the state budget. She strongly advocated for a balanced budget with serious
reductions in spending.

Amy’s legislation to update and improve the Open Meetings Law passed the Assembly
this session (A.9911). Unfortunately, this important reform has
not passed the Senate. This legislation would improve transparency at public meetings
by mandating all records and documents discussed at the meeting be made available to
the public at the meeting and online. The public would be able to truly follow all deliberations
taking place at these governmental meetings.
“By making these records available, we will foster a culture of openness and transparency
at a time when reform is desperately needed.”
