Dear Neighbor: When I decided to run for Assembly, I pledged to be a citizen legislator and donate my entire salary to organizations in our community. During my first term in office, I’ve been privileged to witness the contributions of numerous service groups in our communities, and I am proud to be able to give back to so many excellent organizations. Through a partnership with the Community Foundation for the Capital Region, and a volunteer committee comprised of local citizens, earlier this year I donated my first year’s salary through the Robert Reilly Salary Fund. This year’s funding went to many fantastic groups in our community, including:
Often I tell people that my public service in elected office is no different than the volunteer service of so many others. Ultimately, it is highly rewarding to work to better the place we call home.
