Dear Neighbor,

As a former farm bureau president and current member of the Assembly Agriculture Committee, I know that New York’s agriculture is one of our state’s greatest assets.

That’s why I am fighting to deliver real aid to Western New York’s farmers who are feeling the pinch of skyrocketing fuel prices, increasing feed costs, too much H2A red tape and ever-rising property taxes.

Assemblyman Hawley is standing behind

Agriculture by supporting:

	The Co-STAR Program which will provide tax rebates to ease real property tax burdens for farmers.
	Amending the Agriculture and Markets Law to provide a re-appropriation of $60 million to be paid to New York’s dairy farmers.
	Cutting H2A red tape to allow farmers the freedom to hire their seasonal workers, ensuring the harvest is not lost and that workers are trained, skilled and trusted.
	Extending the eligibility for the agricultural property tax credit to farmers having a leasehold interest of not fewer than five years in qualified agricultural property.
