Every year Assemblywoman Helene Weinstein presents a NYS Assembly Certificate of Merit to students demonstrating not only academic excellence, but also an outstanding concern for their friends, their schools and the community. At the 15th Annual JCC of Marine Park Legislative Breakfast, New York City Councilman Kalman Yeger and JCC Executive Vice President presented the Assemblywoman with an Assembly Legislative Award, in recognition of her work as Chair of the Assembly Ways and Mean Committee.

Assemblywoman Helene Weinstein joined State Senator Roxanne Persaud, 63rd Precinct Captain Rachael Kosak and veterans during the Fraser Civic Association Annual Memorial at the Major Eugene T. McCarthy Triangle (Avenue N & East 31st Street). McCarthy, a local resident, was tragically killed while fighting for our country in the Gulf War.

During the Be Proud Foundation’s 20th Anniversary Celebration, Assemblywoman Weinstein and NYC Eric Mayor Adams cut a cake to commemorate this momentous occasion. During the event, the Assemblywoman was presented with an award for her “commitment, support and loyalty” to the organization, which provides entertaining and educational intergenerational programming and essential services for those in need.

1199 SEIU’s Eddie Kay spent 60 years advocating for our tireless healthcare workers; impressing everyone he worked with, whether they agreed with him or not. Assemblywoman Weinstein joined friends, family and colleagues as they renamed East 19th Street & Avenue N, Eddie’s home since the 40s, in his honor.


National Night Out
National Night Out
National Night Out Against Crime creates positive relationships between NYPD Officers and the communities they’re sworn to protect. Assemblywoman Weinstein joined 61st and 63rd Precinct Commanding Officers, Captain Joseph J. Antonio and Deputy Inspector Rachael Kosak as well as the many community leaders and neighbors who came out in droves to thank our men and women in uniform for putting their lives on the line.
