Tedisco Delivers More Than $13 Million in State Aid
for Schenectady & Saratoga Counties
Figures represent major increases from last year

Assembly Minority Leader James Tedisco (R,C,I-Schenectady-Saratoga) today announced that a significant increase in state aid for Schenectady and Saratoga Counties is included in the 2006-07 state budget.

"This is good news for the residents of my district," said Tedisco. "The towns and cities in Schenectady and Saratoga Counties will be able to use this money as they see fit so property taxes will not have to be raised."

State aid to each town and city in Tedisco's district increased significantly from last year as follows:

Schenectady: $9.9 million (a 24.11% increase from last year)
Niskayuna: $104,086 (a 19.96% increase from last year)
Glenville: $180,650 (a 19.96% increase from last year)
Saratoga Springs: $1.6 million (a 16.36% increase from last year)
Ballston: $50,385 (a 19.96% increase from last year)
Charlton: $33,471 (a 19.96% increase from last year)
Galway: $20,622 (a 19.96% increase from last year)
Greenfield: $23,866 (a 19.96% increase from last year)
Milton: $108,566 (a 19.96% increase from last year)

"I am pleased to be able to help deliver this much-needed assistance to Saratoga and Schenectady Counties," Tedisco concluded.
