Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb: New Yorkers Deserve True Ethics Reform That Will Restore Trust And Confidence In State Government
Statement from NYS Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb (R,I,C-Canandaigua)

"I strongly support ethics reform and have been leading this charge for the better part of two years. Last year, I took a leadership role in a bi-partisan effort to strengthen ethics laws in state government. My goal then, as it is now, was for New York State to have the strongest ethics laws in the nation - and to clean up Albany's culture of corruption and pay-to-play ethical scandals. The ethics reform bill being formally announced today will move New York another step closer toward that goal. Without question, we need to ensure that the final version of the legislation specifically deals with the issue of public officials working for private entities, such a 'rainmaker' provision is an essential part of any true ethics reform."
