I wholeheartedly applaud President Obama for his decision to spare from deportation, some 800,000 young immigrant men and women who were brought to the
United States as children. As a son of immigrants, I know firsthand that America's power and prosperity are continuously fed by the muscle and 'know-how' of
people who come here asking nothing more than the chance to work in a place they can call home. For many of these young people, America is the only country they
have ever known, but through no fault of their own, they have been marginalized. By bringing these young people out of the shadow of deportation, the President has
shown real leadership in contrast with a Congress that has often failed to act in the nation's best interests. Thanks to President Obama, the American Dream is
renewed once more, and we are better for it.
