LEGISLATIVE ACTION

The Legislature concurs with the Executive recommendation.

Article VII

The Legislature denies the Executive proposal which would change the
penalties for those who violate the State's laws against driving while
intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. The Legislature also denies
the Executive proposal to change the legal standard for driving while
intoxicated. Finally, the Legislature extends for one year the provisions
which require the denial or loss of driving privileges for a period of six
months upon a conviction for any drug related crime.
