ASSEMBLY STANDING COMMITTEE ON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, JOB CREATION, COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Committee on Economic Development, Job Creation, Commerce and Industry provides oversight for the economic development budget, agencies, and programs. The State's economic development programs include the START-UP NY Program, the Regional Economic Development Councils Program, the Excelsior Jobs Program, and the Business Incubator and Innovation Hot Spot Program. The programs are administered by the Department of Economic Development and the Empire State Development Corporation. In addition, the Committee oversees the New York State Liquor Authority. The State Fiscal Year 2014-2015 economic development budget was an estimated $77 million. The purpose of this hearing is to review the overall impact of the 2014-2015 budget on the State's economic development programs.
Ten copies of any prepared testimony should be submitted at the hearing registration desk. The Committee would appreciate advance receipt of prepared statements. In order to further publicize these hearings, please inform interested parties and organizations of the Committee's interest in hearing testimony from all sources.
