LEGISLATIVE ACTION
Legislative Changes
The Legislature denies the Executive's proposal to eliminate the State Liquor Authority (SLA) and merge its functions with the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC). The Legislature provides $240,000 in additional funding to restore the State Liquor Authority as a separate entity.
Article VII
The Legislature denies the Executive's Article VII proposal to abolish the State Liquor Authority (SLA) and merge its functions with the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC).
The Legislature approves the Executive's Article VII language authorizing the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) to file default judgements, with changes that insure proper notification and define filing process, against any licensee for unpaid penalties.
