Assemblyman Englebright Visits Nassakeag Elementary School

May 14, 2007
Assemblyman Steve Englebright recently visited Mrs. Woods 1st Grade Class at Nassakeag Elementary School in Setauket to see the imaginative projects the children made to demonstrate how to reuse recyclable materials. Assemblyman Englebright then spoke with the class about the importance of individual actions in protecting our planet

The children also took turns coming up to a podium to read aloud pages from a book they made entitled, “How to Save Mother Earth.” This book contained their original artwork and writings on how they personally can contribute to a better environment. Pictured above are Assemblyman Englebright, Mrs. Woods and the 1st graders holding their beautiful book.
