Long Island Green Homes Program
October 25, 2011
One of the best ways individual Long Islanders can lower their utility bills and reduce fossil fuel consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and air pollution is by improving the energy efficiency of their homes.
The Long Island Green Homes program is designed to help homeowners make their homes more energy efficient and less costly to heat and cool. Most Long Island homeowners qualify for a free or reduced-cost comprehensive home assessment, also referred to as an energy audit, and low-interest loans. Additionally, participants may be eligible for cash-back incentives.
