Assemblyman McDonough, Sen, Fuschillo Conduct LIRR Survey At Freeport Station

Assemblyman David G. McDonough (19th Assembly District) and state Sen. Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) recently visited the Freeport Train Station to speak with commuters about their opinions of the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR).

The legislators conducted a survey asking commuters to rate various aspects of the LIRR’s service, including fares, on-time performance of trains, train and station cleanliness, parking conditions and service offered by LIRR staff members.

“The LIRR plays an integral part in Long Island’s transportation infrastructure. Thousands of Long Islanders commute to and from work every day on the trains. It is important for the LIRR to know how people feel about its service and hear suggestions on how it can be improved,” said McDonough.
